Typically the headline reads "Why Small Businesses Fail". I am taking a different look at small businesses today. While some small businesses do not have the startup capital to implement big plans and ideas, they do have some big things going for them. They can be quick and nimble with products/services they offer, they can decide on a new marketing strategy and implement it without spending months and months in committee/team meetings.
Wouldn't you like:
* More social media activity
* More new customers
* More loyal customers
* More online reviews
* More organic traffic
* More email subscribers
* More revenue
* Out market your competition
With the use of our mobile app communication & marketing platform you can have an "All in One" Marketing Tool to compete with the large companies.
Would you invest $129 a month with no upfront costs to be able to engage customers with:
* Specials and Coupons
* Easy appointment selling
* Easy food ordering & mobile commerce
* Loyalty program
* Stay up to date on events, sales, etc.
Play to Win and be a SUCCESS story!
This might sound like a funny headline but I will explain. Everyone wants to talk about mobile apps for your business and all the fancy bells and whistles. I take a little different approach. I look at a mobile app as your Personal Engagement Tool, PET for short. Mobile apps are not about the shotgun approach to communication. Your mobile app should be about customer engagement, increased revenue and building your brand. Branding is not just your logo. It is your business culture, your customer service, your pricing, and yes.. your logo.
A mobile app is just another avenue for you to communicate to your followers. An app will also increase your other tools you use... whether you want to grow your email marketing list, reward your customers with a loyalty program, send out an urgent message for a sale or closing, increase your Twitter followers, more Facebook likes, more YouTube viewers and more.
Our PET is not the most expensive on the market nor the cheapest but it has all the tools a small business needs and our pricing is simple. Right now, we are discounting our $599 setup fee to ZERO and the monthly membership price is $129. No lengthy proposals needed or fancy powerpoint demos. We can have your mobile app up in one week in the Google Play store for Android phones and the App Store for Apple iPhones shortly afterwards.
People might say "You're just trying to get clicks to your website" or "I'd never pay that much for an app". A couple years ago one of our clients paid a developer that much for a custom developed app. It worked okay at first but then there were no updates. They also paid hundreds a month for hosting.
The client decided to move to the communication/marketing platform we use for our schools and small business partners. They were able to have native apps in the App Store and Google Play (real mobile app not a web link from your phone). We were able to get them to market faster and quicker and much cheaper. This marketing tool price tag was a couple hundred upfront and less than a $100 a month. New features are added regularly to the platform and our clients are able to communicate and engage their customers and fan base for a fraction of the cost.
If you really want to spend $10,000 or more on a custom app, let us know and we can steer you in the right direction. Otherwise, invest around $100 a month and begin to interact with your customers with a mobile marketing strategy.

With spring right around the corner, golfers are beginning to go to golf shows, clean their clubs, order new gear and maybe hit some balls indoors. Golfers very much like the latest gadgets and gizmos. Why not be front and center on their phones?
The Benefits of Going Mobile
There are benefits for both the golfer and the course. For the golfer, they are able to use a digital scorecard, order food so it is ready at the turn, get the latest deal for being a loyal customer and more.
For the course, it opens up revenue streams by engaging with the loyal customers and attracting new golfers. You will grow your marketing list and reward customers with loyalty and last minute offers. Below are some of the main features that can impact a golf course’s revenue and operations.
Key App Features
1. Mobile Scorecard
Toss those old-school scorecards aside. With mobile scoring, players don’t have to worry about keeping track of paper scraps. Even better, you won’t have to worry about reading your buddy’s chicken-scratch handwriting—it’s all right there, plain as day, on your mobile device.
2. Custom Golf Course
Courses can offer their golfers optimum hole-by-hole insight, like yardage, bunker warnings, and basic golf tips. The mobile app acts as a golfer’s custom handbook for success, treating each hole as an opportunity to improve your game.
3. Tee Times
It’s 2017—there’s no need to make a call to find out which tee times are available. Simply open up the mobile app, use the Reservations feature to choose a desired and available time to tee off with your group, and move along. This makes the booking process more automated and streamlined for the club and golfers alike.
4. Event Announcements
Golf clubs have proven pretty versatile venues. The events feature allows clubs to post the dates and times of tournaments, weddings, corporate events, and more. Members can view the upcoming calendar for detailed info on each event, RSVP, communicate with other attendees, and even submit event photos!
Turn-by-turn GPS directions to the club

Startling new data reveal dire state of school athletics
You’ve heard the knock on your door or seen the forms in the company break room. Once the school year kicks in, young salespeople and their parents take to the neighborhood streets or start calling in favors at the office to get you to buy a few items to support a school fundraiser.
Whether it’s discount cards or cookie dough, you’re not just buying product or helping the neighborhood kids win prizes. You are keeping one of the most important elements of a child’s development alive — youth athletics.
Funding for youth athletics has been declining sharply with recent studies estimating billions of dollars cut in the last few school years. This summer, Johnson City, TN school officials facing a $1.1 million shortage stopped just short of eliminating all school sports in the district.
Take a look at some of the findings from a report done by the SHARP Center:
Furthermore, Up2Us, an organization that also works to improve youth sports in the U.S., reported that 40% of the nation’s school districts are implementing “pay-to-play,” a system of adding participation fees that makes it harder for children from low-income families to join the activities.
The same study from Up2Us showed evidence that students who play sports realize some real benefits from their participation. They are significantly more likely to stay in school and go to college and are better at managing emotions, resolving conflict and resisting peer pressure.
So the next time you open the door to a bright-eyed young athlete asking you to make a small purchase to support their school team, rest assured you’re buying more than a deal at the neighborhood restaurant or package of sweet treats. You’re buying a better future for the child at your door.
How have youth athletics changed your life for the better? Share your thoughts and this post on your social media pages!
